The M.E.D. 8-Step Approach to Successful Hiring

1: Determine Your Individual Hiring Needs

We meet with you to review the skills, qualifications, professional certifications and licensing required for the position. We also take into consideration any applicable employment laws. In addition, we outline the job description and benefits package commensurate with the position.

2: Identify Core Competency Skills

We are not just looking for candidates with a "clean resume" and a certain set of qualifications. Together we will identify the core competency skills which are also important in determining a successful match such as strong written and verbal communication skills, independent thinking and decision making skills, managerial skills and excellent listening skills.

3: Understand Your Office Culture

We visit your business location to develop a thorough understanding of your "office culture" and any special considerations concerning your environment or institution. This is essential in presenting a candidate who can develop successful working relationships with other employees in your office.

4. Implement a Comprehensive Search Marketing Plan

We develop a unique search marketing plan to locate qualified professionals which includes assessing our extensive database of medical professionals, networking and advertising in selected media. Our database is continually added to and updated to reflect position, responsibility or address changes of potential candidates so we keep abreast of valuable experienced individuals in the healthcare field.

5: Provide Rigorous Screening of Candidates

We screen applicants, administer appropriate testing and personally interview each qualified applicant BEFORE they meet with you. An example of tests we will administer include word processing tests, medical terminology tests, the 10-key calculator test and alpha filing test. In addition, we give all of our billers an Explanation of Benefits test. We can also provide OSHA training if needed.

M.E.D. will check personal and professional references by request. We also provide -- free of charge -- criminal background checks, drug screens and credit checks if requested.

6: Offer "Round the Clock" Access by Candidates

Most candidates are currently employed. Therefore, we are available to interview applicants before and after normal business hours so that we can accommodate the special needs of these individuals. Our search efforts are conducted on a "round the clock" basis in order to locate qualified candidates as quickly as possible. Clients and candidates have 24-hour access to our office.

7: Present a Thorough Picture to the Candidate

M.E.D. takes great care in presenting the requirements and dynamics of the position to the candidate. During the screening process, we provide a thorough picture of the circumstances, demands, rewards and challenges involved in the position.
